Frequently asked questions
What is a good page speed score?
A score of 90–100 is excellent, 50–89 needs improvement, and below 50 is poor. Google uses speed as a ranking factor, so aim for at least 70+ on mobile.
Why is my mobile score lower than desktop?
Mobile tests simulate a slower 4G connection and less powerful device. Mobile scores are almost always lower — but that's the version Google uses for ranking (mobile-first indexing).
What is LCP and why does it matter?
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures when the main content of a page loads. A slow LCP frustrates users and hurts rankings. Google wants LCP under 2.5 seconds.
How often should I check page speed?
Check after any major update to your site — new images, plugins, design changes, or hosting moves. Speed can degrade over time as you add more content.
