2. Information We Collect

• Account data: Name, email address, and password (stored as a hashed value — we never store plain-text passwords).
• Billing data: Billing name, address, GST number (optional). Payment card details are never stored by us — they are handled directly by Razorpay or Stripe.
• Usage data: Website URLs you submit for auditing, audit results, and report history.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited — collected automatically via server logs.
• Communications: Any messages you send us via the contact form or email.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the SEO-Snap service.
• To process payments and generate GST-compliant invoices.
• To send transactional emails — audit completion, invoices, payment confirmations.
• To send weekly audit summary emails (only if you have an active subscription).
• To respond to your support requests and feedback.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following trusted service providers, strictly for operating the platform:

• Razorpay — payment processing (Indian users). Their privacy policy.
• Stripe — payment processing (international users). Their privacy policy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Cloudflare R2 — PDF report storage.
• DigitalOcean — server hosting (data stored in India/Singapore region).

5. Data Retention

• Audit reports are retained per your plan: 30 days (Starter), 1 year (Growth), indefinitely (Agency).
• Invoices are retained for 6 years as required by Indian GST law and cannot be deleted.
• Account data is retained until you delete your account.
• After account deletion, anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Under the Indian Information Technology (Amendment) Act 2008 and applicable data protection principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session management). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics scripts are loaded without your consent.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and restricted database access. However, no system is 100% secure. Please notify us immediately at security@seosnap.in if you discover a vulnerability.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of SEO-Snap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
